RNA农药通过沉默特定基因，实现对害虫生长发育、繁殖以及关键生理过程的精准调控。凭借高度的靶标特异性、良好的环境兼容性以及灵活的研发模式，RNA农药被认为是继传统化学农药和转基因作物之后的″第三次农药革命″。然而，从实验室研究走向农业生产应用，RNAi技术仍面临诸多关键挑战。一方面，高效、稳定的RNAi靶标基因筛选仍存在较大难度；另一方面，裸露双链RNA（double-stranded RNA, dsRNA）容易受到昆虫体内核酸酶以及环境因素的降解，同时其跨越昆虫表皮和肠道屏障并进入细胞的效率较低，导致田间应用效果不稳定。此外，dsRNA规模化生产、制剂加工及递送体系构建成本较高，也限制了RNA农药的大规模推广应用。
