Mahindra Sells 50,208 Tractors in India in September 2026; Exports Rise 62%

01 October 2026, New Delhi: Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.’s Farm Equipment Business (FEB) sold 50,208 tractors in the domestic market in September 2026, down 23% from 64,946 units sold in September 2025, according to the company’s monthly sales data released on October 1.

The company attributed the year-on-year decline primarily to a shift in the festive season, which begins in October this year compared with September last year. Mahindra also noted that September 2025 had a higher comparison base, following the implementation of a GST rate cut during that period.

Despite the decline in domestic sales for the month, Mahindra reported higher exports. Tractor exports rose 62% year-on-year to 1,892 units in September 2026, compared with 1,165 units in the same month last year.

Including domestic sales and exports, Mahindra’s total tractor sales stood at 52,100 units in September 2026, compared with 66,111 units in September 2025, a 21% decline.
