CNH has teamed up with Canadian seeding specialist Bourgault Industries in a new strategic alliance aimed at getting advanced planting technology into more farmers’ hands.
Announced on Sept. 3, 2026, the deal will focus on precision seeding systems built to improve seed placement accuracy, increase productivity, and protect soil health by minimizing soil disturbance.
For CNH, the move is another step in its “Path to 2030” strategy. The company is pushing beyond traditional equipment manufacturing and positioning itself as a technology-enabled agricultural solutions provider.
Bourgault is well known for its air seeders and tillage equipment, and the partnership is expected to combine that expertise with CNH’s global dealer network and digital platforms. The goal: make high-accuracy seeding tools more accessible and easier to integrate across different farm operations.
The announcement comes as CNH continues to bet big on tech to offset a prolonged downturn in farm machinery sales. Earlier this month, the company cited farmer demand for clear ROI as a key driver of agtech adoption.
Precise seed placement and lower soil disturbance are becoming central to both yield goals and sustainability targets. By pairing Bourgault’s seeding systems with CNH’s reach, the alliance could accelerate adoption of precision ag practices at scale.
