Hansa takes first step toward US Nasdaq listing

Why it matters: A Nasdaq listing could broaden Hansa’s access to U.S. investors as it prepares for a possible American launch of imlifidase, marketed as Idefirix in Europe.

Zoom in: Hansa plans to seek a Nasdaq Global Market listing under the ticker HNSA, while retaining its Nasdaq Stockholm listing. The number of securities, price range and timing remain undecided, and the offering may not proceed. The company is also considering a concurrent private placement in Europe.

Backstory: Idefirix is conditionally approved in Europe to desensitize highly sensitized adults before kidney transplantation. In May, a European post-authorization study reported 90% graft failure-free survival after one year, supporting a planned application for full European approval in the fourth quarter.

  • Hansa also transferred European and Middle Eastern commercialization rights to SERB Pharmaceuticals in a €115 million licensing deal, freeing it to focus resources on the U.S.

What’s next: The FDA is reviewing imlifidase after positive Phase 3 kidney-transplant data, with a decision due Dec. 19. The proposed U.S. listing remains subject to regulatory review, market conditions and investor demand.
