ProVeg Incubator Opens Applications for Second Cohort of Free Alt-Protein Programme

The ProVeg Incubator is accepting applications for the second cohort of its Fast-track to Impact programme, a three-month, equity-free initiative for early-stage alternative protein startups. The deadline to apply is 21 June 2026.

The fully digital programme is open to founders globally who have at least a minimum viable product and are working on meat, dairy, seafood, or egg alternatives, as well as enabling technologies. Selected participants receive one-on-one mentoring from a network of over 300 industry experts, workshops covering financial modelling, go-to-market strategy, and investor readiness, and access to partners across the food ecosystem. A selection of startups from the cohort will have the opportunity to pitch at The New Food Paradigm event in Paris, providing direct access to retailers, investors, and policymakers.

Second run builds on inaugural cohort

The Berlin-based incubator, established in 2018 as the first accelerator dedicated exclusively to alternative proteins, has supported more than 130 startups from over 30 countries to date. The Fast-track to Impact format, introduced earlier this year, doubled the number of companies the programme supports annually compared to its previous model.

The first cohort drew more than 100 applications. Twelve startups were selected, working across areas including fermentation platforms, ingredient upcycling, and localized protein supply chains.

Devika Suresh, Head of the ProVeg Incubator, stated, “The success of our first Fast-track To Impact cohort proved that founders today are looking for high-efficiency support that yields tangible results. As we open applications for Cohort 2, our focus remains on helping startups navigate the complexities of this dynamic sector and emerge better positioned for long-term success.”

Startups can apply via the ProVeg Incubator website.
