US plant-based quick-service restaurant chain Mr. Charlie’s TMS has brought on musician and entrepreneur Travis Barker as an equity partner and brand ambassador as the brand expands its footprint across several states.
Barker, a vocal advocate for plant-based eating, has been associated with the brand since its early days. “Mr. Charlie’s isn’t just another food concept — it’s a movement. What they’re building across food, culture and community resonates with me. I’m excited to help take it to the next level,” Barker said.

The investment is not Barker’s first in the vegan restaurant space: he is also a co-owner of Crossroads Kitchen, the upscale plant-based Mediterranean restaurant founded by chef Tal Ronnen, with locations in West Hollywood and Las Vegas.

Seven locations and growing
The Los Angeles-based chain recently opened its fifth location in Pacific Beach, San Diego, and has a flagship Hillcrest site scheduled to open in May. An Austin, Texas, location is also underway. With those two additions, the brand will operate seven corporate and franchise locations, with more than 25 locations sold nationwide.
Adam Wilks, president of Mr. Charlie’s, said the partnership developed organically. “Travis has been a genuine supporter of the brand, and his values align with what we’re building.”
Mr. Charlie’s is currently offering franchise opportunities to qualified operators.
