Applications are open for the GoGettaz Agripreneur Prize Competition 2026, which will award $50,000 each to one male and one female young entrepreneur leading innovative agribusiness ventures in Africa.
The competition targets founders aged 18 to 35 from the 55 African Union member states. It seeks scalable, impact-driven businesses across the agrifood sector, including production, agro-processing, logistics, and digital innovations.
In addition to the two grand prizes, impact awards totaling $60,000 will be given to businesses excelling in areas such as technology and innovation, nutrition and food security, job creation, climate resilience, and gender equity. The total prize pool is $160,000.
Applicants must be founders or co-founders actively involved in their ventures, which should be headquartered and legally registered in an AU member state. Submissions close on June 28, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. EAT.

Selected applicants will advance through a multi-stage review process, with the top 100, 40, 24, and 12 shortlisted in phases between July and August. Finalists will receive pitch training and present live at the Africa Food Systems Forum in Kigali, Rwanda, in September, where winners will be announced.

Now in its sixth year, the competition is run by Generation Africa and AGRA. Past winners include entrepreneurs from Uganda, Morocco, Ghana, Madagascar, and Nigeria.
