Ulta Beauty has launched its own plugin on ChatGPT to offer AI-powered personalized beauty recommendations and shopping efficiency. 

Sensorion: Peter Weber joins as CMO. Weber will take up the role on November 2 as the French biotech prepares clinical development of SENS-601, its gene therapy for hearing loss caused by GJB2 mutations. He previously helped guide inner-ear gene therapy programs at Decibel Therapeutics and Regeneron. The appointment follows Sensorion’s recent CFO hire and its confidential filing for a potential US listing.

Why it matters: According to Poseida’s 2023 announcement, RG6540 was designed to address two limitations of existing CAR-T treatments: the weeks required to manufacture therapies from patients’ own immune cells, and the ability of some B-cell cancers to escape CD19-targeted treatments by losing that protein. Using ready-made donor cells and targeting both CD19 and CD20 could address those problems, although RG6540 had not demonstrated those advantages in clinical trials.

Why it matters: For Georgiamune, the license is a major vote of confidence: an established drugmaker is paying for a molecule still in lab testing. GIM-621 would be one of the few cancer immunotherapies taken orally, and the drug is also meant to fill a significant unmet need.
