The Future of Protein Production (FPP) conference has released its preliminary agenda for the 2026 Amsterdam edition, scheduled for November 4 and 5 at RAI Amsterdam. The event will be co-located with the Cultured Meat Symposium (CMS) for the first time in Europe, with two dedicated conference tracks running side by side and a single ticket providing access to both.
The published agenda points to a sector focused on execution over experimentation. Confirmed sessions include tracks on Europe’s protein competitiveness gap, AI and digital biomanufacturing, industrialization challenges for startups, the investor outlook for alternative protein in 2026, hybrid products, regulation, and consumer health and functionality.
Speakers are drawn from Oatly, Unilever, Danone, dsm-firmenich, Aleph Farms, Givaudan, Bühler, Thermo Fisher Scientific, the Good Food Institute, ProVeg International, and VTT, among others.

Execution over experimentation
Organizer Protein Production Technology International noted the shift in industry priorities: “Not long ago, conference agendas were dominated by questions of technical feasibility. Can it be done? Does the science work? What might be possible? Today, the questions are very different. How do we manufacture at scale? Where does capital come from? How do we navigate regulation? What do consumers actually want?”
The event expects more than 1,000 attendees and 65 exhibiting companies. A free exhibition pass is available alongside conference passes, which are priced at €1,495 until September 18 and €1,995 thereafter.
