Indofil expands international reach with new soybean fungicide in Brazil

Indian agrochemical manufacturer Indofil Industries Limited has launched Curatis, a new fungicide for soybean protection, in Brazil, marking another step in the company’s international expansion strategy.

The launch event in São Paulo brought together around 130 growers, distributors and researchers from across the agricultural sector. Dr Bina Modi, Chairperson and Managing Director of Indofil, attended alongside members of the company’s global executive team.

Curatis is formulated as a water-based suspension concentrate (SC) and combines three active ingredients: mancozeb, prothioconazole and picoxystrobin. The formulation brings together multi-site and systemic modes of action to protect soybean crops against key diseases, including Asian soybean rust and target spot.

The combination is designed to support disease management across soybean production systems, where fungal infections can threaten crop health and productivity. By bringing multiple active ingredients into a single formulation, Curatis adds another option to the crop protection toolkit available to Brazilian growers.

Indofil has also highlighted application convenience as a key feature of the product. Its formulation is designed to offer high stability and ease of application, supporting efficient crop protection practices in commercial farming operations.

The Brazilian launch underscores Indofil’s efforts to expand its global presence through crop protection products tailored to growers’ operational requirements. Brazil’s soybean sector provides a significant market for fungicide solutions as producers seek to manage disease pressure and protect yields.

For Indofil, Curatis represents a further step in its strategy to develop farmer-focused technologies for international agricultural markets. The company’s stated priorities include productivity, operational efficiency and responding to the changing requirements of modern agriculture.

The product’s commercial performance in Brazil will depend on grower adoption, disease-management requirements and its fit within local crop protection programmes. Its launch nevertheless strengthens Indofil’s presence in a major soybean market and broadens its portfolio of solutions for global agriculture.
