The For Farmers Grants program is offering financial support to farmers in the United States who want to invest in projects that improve productivity, resilience, and sustainability on the farm. Applications are open until October 12, 2026.
From an Agritech perspective, the grants are an opportunity to fund technology adoption and practical upgrades without taking on debt. The program includes three funding levels.
Foundational Grants range from 500 to 1000 dollars. At least 100 will be awarded. These can cover basic needs like equipment, supplies, infrastructure, and tools to recover from losses. For many farms this is a way to buy first sensors, irrigation parts, or other small tech that improves day to day operations.
The Land Stewardship Grant is a single award of 5000 dollars. It supports farms focused on soil health, water and natural resource protection, and long term sustainability. This fits well with agritech practices like soil monitoring, conservation systems, and data driven resource management. It is supported by Progressive Hedonist.

The Transformational Grant is at least 10000 dollars and at least one will be awarded. It is for projects that create significant impact on farm operations, long term agricultural development, and the surrounding community. This is where farms can fund larger agritech investments such as precision equipment, infrastructure upgrades, and innovative farming systems. It is supported by a private foundation.

Eligibility is open to farmers in the 50 US states, Washington DC, and US territories who primarily sell the food, fiber, fuel, or flowers they produce. Homesteaders who do not sell and animal sanctuaries are not eligible. Farmers can apply individually or with up to two other farms. Previous recipients can apply again. No nomination is required.
Eligible projects include purchasing equipment, improving infrastructure, buying supplies, recovering from losses, implementing new farming approaches, and work that benefits soil health and the wider community.
To apply, farmers confirm eligibility, identify the project, choose the grant type that fits, and submit an application explaining the farm, the need, how funds will be used, and the expected impact.
