Vietnamese Soy Milk Maker Vinasoy Reports Triple-Digit Export Growth

Vietnam Soya Products Company (Vinasoy) is positioning overseas sales as a core growth driver, reporting export revenue increases of 116% in 2025 and a further 184% so far in 2026, according to a company spokesperson cited by Vietnam News.

The company’s soy milk products are currently sold in the US, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, China and several Southeast Asian markets, the spokesperson said. Vinasoy plans to deepen its footprint in these regions while entering additional high-growth markets across Asia-Pacific.

Domestic dominance, global ambition

Founded in 1997 as a branch of Quang Ngai Sugar Joint Stock Company, Vinasoy has grown into what it describes as one of the world’s five largest soy milk producers. In Vietnam, the company holds more than a 90% share of the packaged soy milk market, according to the spokesperson.

“With nearly three decades dedicated to soybean and plant-based nutrition research, and as one of the world’s five largest soy milk producers, Vinasoy is steadily expanding the global reach of Vietnamese plant-based nutrition products while reinforcing the competitiveness of Vietnamese businesses in international markets,” the spokesperson told Vietnam News.

Investing upstream in soybean supply

Alongside export expansion, Vinasoy is investing in domestic soybean cultivation. Lê Hoàng Duy, director of the company’s Soybean Application Research Centre, said the company invests across its value chain, from raw material selection to processing technology and packaging, to preserve soybean taste and ensure product quality and safety.

The company’s supply chain strategy centres on three areas: developing new soybean varieties, advancing cultivation and mechanisation, and partnering with farmers through technology transfer and guaranteed purchase agreements. Vinasoy maintains a non-GMO soybean gene bank of more than 2,200 genetic resources sourced from Vietnam and abroad, which it uses to breed high-yield varieties suited to specific product lines and local growing conditions.

The company is also piloting sustainable crop rotation models incorporating soybeans in the Central Highlands, the Red River Delta and the Mekong Delta.
