V-Label LATAM to Host Free Virtual Event on Vegan Certification for Latin American Businesses

V-Label LATAM, the regional arm of Fundación Veg, will hold its first VegBusiness event on 27 May 2026, bringing together companies across Latin America to examine how vegan certification functions as a commercial tool in the region’s expanding plant-based market.

The free virtual event is open to businesses, brands, and startups operating in or seeking to enter the certified vegan space.

Certification as a business tool

Sessions will cover certification’s role in sales, export strategy, sustainability, regulation, innovation, and marketing communications. The program also extends beyond food, addressing certified vegan cosmetics and non-food products, as well as fermented beverages, including beer and wine.

“We launched VegBusiness to demonstrate that vegan certification can become a concrete tool for strengthening competitiveness, opening markets, and driving business growth in Latin America,” said Ignacia Uribe, general director of the organization.

Additional topics on the agenda include consumer trends, startup development, and corporate sustainability strategy tied to vegan labeling. The virtual format is intended to lower barriers to participation for companies across different countries in the region.

V-Label is one of the most widely recognized vegan certification marks internationally, operating across more than 60 countries. Its Latin American operations have expanded in recent years alongside growing retail and foodservice interest in certified plant-based products across markets, including Brazil, Mexico, Chile, and Argentina.
