Fundación Veg and its certification arm V-Label Latam will be present at Alimentec, the biennial food and beverage trade fair held at Corferias in Bogotá, Colombia, from 9 to 12 June 2026. The two organizations will share a stand in Hall 6, Level 1, Booth 508, where they plan to meet food and beverage companies interested in vegan certification and related market opportunities.
Now in its 25th edition and operating under the Anuga Select Colombia banner, Alimentec draws exhibitors from more than 20 countries and is one of the largest food industry platforms in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Label as a commercial tool
V-Label Latam reports it currently works with more than 190 companies across the region, which have certified more than 2,900 products under the seal. The organization’s presence at the fair is focused on connecting with companies looking to certify their products or expand into certified vegan categories.

Gianfranco Canessa, Head of Corporate Development at V-Label Latam, framed certification in commercial terms: “Certification gives the consumer clarity, which can become a competitive advantage for companies that want to differentiate themselves in a market where transparency and third-party verification carry increasing weight in purchasing decisions.”
Timing and fair theme
The 2026 edition of Alimentec has adopted “Origin Matters” as its central concept, with organizers citing consumer demand for clearer information about product provenance and composition. According to the fair, 64% of consumers are trying to purchase healthier foods, and 60% read labels looking for natural and recognizable ingredients.
